Last night I was up late watching a movie about Coco Channel. Starting as a Hat Maker, even the hats in the movie (props) inspired me with their embellishments. Ah, thinking about a fellow-sewers Leaves for her beautiful Leaf Dress, I turn to flowers. So what is Kanzashi. Amazon has a book by Sister Diane and the reviews send you to her Crafty Pod.

A Pucci Punch
My first entry. This blog is dedicated to my father, who taught me to live and, of course, learn by doing and to always welcome the new as it is influenced from the past. I love you Dad!
My blog is yet another link in the chain of life's influences and whether routine or extraordinary, large or small, significant or insignificant it is based on my kaleidoscope of impressions.
My fashion inspiration of the month. A punch from Pucci (from Emilio Pucci’s 2012 collection) designed by Peter Dundas. Photo/article courtesy of Trendland and Ani Tzenkova http://trendland.net/emilio-pucci-ss-2012/. Thank you for this wonderful design.

Look, it's just a drop waist yoke pencil skirt and a crop top, right? Yet it's symmetry has so inspired me. The lace is stunning and makes me want to do something with lace, so I found on Ebay a vintage pencil skirt pattern with a yoke (Butterick 5850, copyright 1987) that might create a similar effect, but where to wear?
Liking the lace, so rediscovering my interest in godets too, I looked at McCall's pattern 5331 (copyright 2007), which is a drop-waist over-skirt with inverted pleats (godets) and an underskirt. I see the godets in lace and the underskirt in taffeta? OK, maybe a bit over-the-top, but fun to make.
Another option would be Simplicity pattern 2641 (copyright 2009), which is the same principle: Drop-waist skirt with an underskirt and over-skirt. I see the over-skirt in lace.
OK, forget about wearing it in public. Bringing out the flirtatious Goth in me (is there such a thing?) why not a simple drop-waist mini skirt, done in lace, for a special evening of fun in the boudoir? I am Sewsure that this is now heading off track, so later....
